Two people killed in Greek island earthquake

Two people died in a 6.1 magnitude earthquake that caused extensive damage on the island of Lefkada, in southwestern Greece, AP has reported.

The Athens Geodynamic Institute said the undersea quake occurred about 300 kilometers west of Athens and had a preliminary magnitude of 6.1. The USGS put the preliminary magnitude at 6.5.
