A Turkish Airlines flight from New York to Istanbul was diverted to Halifax Stanfield International Airport, Canada, after a bomb threat.

After the emergency landing of the aircraft, Royal Canadian Mounted Police evacuated the aircraft carrying 256 passengers and crew members and started searching the aircraft for explosives.
