Biden congratulates Djukanovic on NATO invitation

Joseph Biden has told Milo Djukanovic he is convinced Montenegro will work diligently and successfully complete the process of joining NATO.

In a telephone interview with the Montenegrin prime minister, the U.S. vice president also said that Montenegro's membership in NATO is an important step that will mark the path to stability in the Balkans, while the invitation to join was "a call clear message that the door of the Alliance is open."
