Two civilians have been killed while another two have been wounded after a house was raked with bullets in the southeastern province of Mardin's Dargeçit district amid a continuing curfew in the area.

The house was attacked by members of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) at 9:15 p.m. on Dec. 23, 12 days after a curfew was imposed by the military.

The house in the Saray neighborhood of Dargeçit belongs to the cousin of the Justice and Development Party's (AKP) district head, Be?ir K?l?nç.

Necim K?l?nç, who was Be?ir K?l?nç's cousin, his wife, daughter and son were all wounded in the attack launched by long-barreled weapons.

All victims were brought to Dargeçit State Hospital for a first response and were later transferred to Midyat State Hospital.

Necim K?l?nç and his daughter Sabahat K?l?nç succumbed to their wounds at the hospital. The treatments of Fatma K?l?nç and her son Selamet K?l?nç are ongoing, but reports indicate their condition remain critical.
