Bulgaria's National Carrier Gets Maximum Number of Safety Stars

Bulgaria's national flag-carrying airline Bulgaria Air has been awarded a maximum safety rating by an annual analysis òf Airlineratings.com, a safety ratings site.

The ranking includes 407 international airlines on seven points ranging from international certifications to in-air navigation systems and fatality-free records.

Among all the airlines, 148 earned 7 safety stars (the maximum number). As many as 50 have three stars or less, and 10 have only one.

"With its maximum number of stars for safety Bulgaria Air joins companies such as Qantas, which for the third time wins the ranking with the lack of a single serious incident in its over 90-year history, followed (alphabetically) by Air New Zealand and Alaska Airlines," Bulgaria Air says on its website.
