Suicide bomber attacks close to Russian embassy in Kabul

A suicide bomber carried out an attack near the Russian embassy in Kabul on January 20 leaving several injured, officials have confirmed.

According to the recent reports, four people are reported dead and 24  injured. ​Firefighters are currently battling fire in a building in front of the Russian embassy, Sputnik reports.

“The attack happened near the Russian embassy,” ministry spokesman Najib Danish told the Agence France-Presse.

“We fear casualties from the bombing,” he added, though he could not confirm if the embassy was the intended target.

A building in front of the Russian Embassy was set ablaze by the blast, while no group has yet claimed responsibility for the bombing.
