Lenders ‘Quartet’ demands tax law changes

The first meeting between the representatives of Greece’s lenders and the Greek government is concluded.

The ‘Quartet’ will receive Greece’s proposal on the new tax bill tomorrow since it seems that issue was also added in the prior actions for the successful completion of the evaluation.

According to sources, the Greek government will submit its proposal for the changes in income tax law, while regarding for the non-performing loans three documents were submitted concerning large debtors, changes on Dendias law related to business loans and SMEs and mortgages.

The planned meetings between Greek ministers and officials with the heads of the institutions’ missions in Athens on Tuesday were rescheduled.

The first meeting at 11.00 (local time) will be with Labour Minister Giorgos Katrougalos instead of Alternate Administrative Reform Minister Christoforos Vernardakis. It is not yet known when Vernardakis’ meeting will be held.

Talks with representatives of Greece’s central bank will take place at 15.00, as previously announced, while the meeting with Economy, Development and Tourism Minister George Stathakis to discuss non-performing loans has been changed from 17.00 to 19.00.
