Bulgaria's Varna to Host Men's Volleyball European League Finals
The Palace of Culture and Sports in the Bulgarian city of Varna will host this year's edition of then men's volleyball European League finals between July 1 and 3.
This will be the first participation of Bulgaria in the tournament, with eight teams competing this year.
The format of the competition changed from last year with a round-robin tournament replacing the double home and away matches played in the group stage last year.
The winner of the tournament will become a candidate to join next year's edition of the World League/World Grand Prix replacing the lowest placed European team from 2016.
The eight participants will be divided in two pools, each of them consisting of four teams.
Bulgaria is in Pool A together with Macedonia, Denmark and Albania, while Pool B pits against each other the teams of Estonia, Belarus, Austria and Luxembourg.
Varna will host the first leg of the group stage between June 10 and 12, with the second leg to be held in Macedonia between June 17 and 19.
