Greek farmers set new road blocks escalating their protest actions
The Greek farmers escalate their protest actions and insist on their demands asking the Greek government to withdraw first the reforms on social security and tax system and then begin the talks.
A few hours after the statements of the government’s spokesperson who claimed that most of the farmers have responded to government’s calls for debate, the farmers set new road blocks at Bralos and Kileler, the old Larissa – Volos motorway.
Given that the road at Tempi Valley and the new and old Corinth – Athens motorway remain closed, the country is cut in three, causing great problems in goods transfers within the country and abroad.
The farmers of Nikaia blockade decided to intensify their mobilizations and squat the tax offices on Wednesday and the court building on Friday in Thessalia region, while the farmers of Mikrothives blockade continue blocking the Athens-Thessaloniki motorway.
