FlyDubai Plane Crash in Russia Kills All on Board
All 62 people on board a FlyDubai plane which crashed on landing in the city of Rostov-on-Don, Russia, are confirmed dead, Russian officials say.
Preliminary data suggests there were 55 passengers and 7 crew on the Boeing 737, which "hit the ground and broke into pieces," according to the investigative committee quoted by RIA Novosti. Six of the crew were non-Russians.
Forty-four of passengers aboard were Russian, eight were Ukrainian, 2 were Indian and one came from Uzbekistan.
Causes for the crash are being investigated.
"flydubai regrets to confirm that flight FZ981 crashed on landing and that fatalities have been confirmed," the company itself says.
It adds the accident occurred at approximately 00:50 GMT.
Al Jazeera reports that the plane had been in the air for two hours in between two attempts to land.

Flight Radar for its part shows data suggesting the aircraft made several tries.
