Nikolic visits National Museum of Indonesia

JAKARTA - Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic visited the National Museum of Indonesia and the National Monument during a first day of his official visit to the Republic of Indonesia on Tuesday.

President Nikolic signed the guest book at the National Museum.

"Words are probably superfluous and cannot convey the feelings of respect one has for your history and civilization," the president's press office cited Nikolic as saying.

The National Museum of Indonesia, located in Jakarta's Merdeka Square, marked the 238nd anniversary of its establishment this year. It is home to numerous historical and etnological collections from all over Indonesia.

President Nikolic arrived on a three-day visit to the Republic of Indonesia and was greeted in Jakarta by Minister of Transportation Ignatius Jonan.
