Nikolic informs Widodo about security risks in KiM

27-April-2016 15:07 JAKARTA/ BELGRADE, April 27 (Tanjug) - Serbia's President Tomislav Nikolic said on Wednesday he had informed Indonesia's President Joko Widodo, whose country does not recognize Kosovo's independence, about heightened security risks in Kosovo-Metohija, and voiced concern that Kosovo could give ground to Islamic State to declare independence, which would then be recognized by certain states.
President Nikolic said he had told his Indonesian counterpart that Pristina was plagued by religious extremism, noting that its citizens of Albanian nationality were involved in a large number of IS terrorist operations.
He underlined that Serbia highly appreciated the fact that Indonesia did not recognize the unilaterally declared independence of Kosovo-Metohija, and the clear, principled and unequivocal support for Serbia's territorial sovereignty and integrity.
