Mogherini stresses significance of dialogue

PRISTINA - EU foreign policy and security chief Federica Mogherini on Thursday congratulated Kosovo on the European Commission's proposal to lift visa requirements for travellers from Kosovo and stressed the significance of Pristina's dialogue with Belgrade.

The visa liberalisation will have a positive impact on everyday life as well as politics, she said in Pristina.

"Kosovo is Europe and what we are working on is the European integration of Kosovo," she told a press conference after a meeting with EU Commissioner for Migration, Home Affairs and Citizenship Dimitris Avramopoulos and Kosovo Prime Minister Isa Mustafa.

The Belgrade-Pristina dialogue has produced many agreements, but impetus must now be given to their implementation on both sides, Mogherini said.
