Kudla beats Lajovic in Stuttgart

STUTTGART - Serbian tennis player Dusan Lajovic has ended his campaign at the Mercedes Cup in Stuttgart by losing 6-0, 6-2 to Denis Kudla of the United States in the first round after just 45 minutes of play.

Kudla will next face Radek Stepanek of the Czech Republic.

Earlier in the day, Viktor Troicki, the other Serbian at the tournament, lost 6-4, 7-6 (7-4) to Florian Mayer of Germany.

The prize money in Stuttgart is EUR 675,645.
