Troicki beats Verdasco to advance to Winston-Salem semis
WINSTON-SALEM - Serbia's Viktor Troicki is through to the semi-finals of the ATP tennis tournament in Winston-Salem, United States, after beating Spaniard Fernando Verdasco 6-4, 3-6, 6-4 Friday.
In a bid to reach the final, Troicki will face another Spaniard, Roberto Bautista Agut, who defeated Lu Yen-hsun of Chinese Taipei 6-3, 6-2.
Bautista Agut is 1-0 head-to-head against Troicki thanks to a 6-3, 6-4 win in Sofia in February this year.
The prize money in Winston-Salem is 639,255 dollars.
