Lajovic upsets Delbonis to set up clash with Dimitrov

CHENGDU - Serbia's Dusan Lajovic has got off to a successful start at the ATP tennis tournament in Chengdu, China, by beating Federico Delbonis of Argentina 1-6, 6-3, 6-4 in the opening round.

Lajovic came from behind to win the match after 104 minutes of play.

Delbonis is 32nd in the ATP world rankings, 32 positions above Lajovic.

In a bid to reach the quarter-finals, the Serb will face third-seeded Grigor Dimitrov of Bulgaria in what will be their first-ever encounter.

The prize money in Chengdu is 840,915 dollars.
