Kutbettin Gülen, the brother of US-based cleric Fethullah Gülen, has been detained in Turkey over suspected involvement in the coup attempt made on July 15, AFP reports.

He was detained in Western Turkey, at the home of a relative in a district of Izmir province.

According to Anadolu Agency, he was accused of being a member of an armed terror group.
