Troicki lets victory slip against Fognini
BEIJING - Serbia's Viktor Troicki has suffered an early exit at the Beijing ATP tennis tournament after losing to Fabio Fognini of Italy 2-6, 6-2, 7-5 in the opening round on Tuesday.
Fognini, who came from 4-2 behind in the third set to win the match after nearly two hours of play, is now 4-2 head-to-head against Troicki following a fourth consecutive victory over the Serbian.
Fognini will next face David Ferrer of Spain, who defeated Uruguay's Pablo Cuevas in the opening round.
The prize money in Beijing is 2,916,550 dollars.
