Red Star Belgrade stun Barcelona at Kombank Arena

BELGRADE - Red Star Belgrade have caused a major upset in the basketball Euroleague by defeating Barcelona 76-65 (9-16, 31-15, 20-17, 16-17) at a sold-out Kombank Arena in the third round of European basketball's top-tier competition late Wednesday.

In front of over 18,000 spectators, Red Star managed to overcome the big favourites, chalking up their second consecutive Euroleague win this season.

Marko Guduric led the scoring for Red Star with 21 points, Marko Simonovic added 13, followed by Milko Bjelica with 12, while Brad Oleson was the top scorer for the Catalan giants with 15 points.

Red Star will next face Panathinaikos Athens on the road on Friday.
