Vucic announces investments in economic growth, better life

JAGODINA - The Serbian government's new policy will be one of growth and incentives for investment and development, PM Aleksandar Vucic said in Jagodina, central Serbia, at a cornerstone-laying ceremony for a new plant of Italian auto parts maker Aunde.

"Over the past two years, we have laid the foundations for a modern Serbian economy - not so much politics as the economy," Vucic said, noting that austerity measures had reduced the deficit to below 2 pct.

"Now we have room to 'play' and invest in business... and invest in economic growth and better life for citizens," he said.

The Ministry of Trade and Aunde Srb signed an agreement to build another Aunde plant in Jagodina, which will hire 400 people.

The signing was also attended by Deputy PM Ivica Dacic, Italian Ambassador Guiseppe Manzo and Jagodina Mayor Dragan Markovic.
