Troicki knocks out Mannarino in Paris

PARIS - Serbia's Viktor Troicki defeated Frenchman Adrian Mannarino 6-4, 3-6, 7-6 (7-5) in the opening round of the Paris ATP Masters tennis tournament on Tuesday.

After taking the lead against world number 60 Mannarino, Troicki produced a sub-par performance but came back from the verge of defeat by saving two match points in the 10th game of the third set.

The Serbian was the more focused opponent in the tie-break, winning the match after two hours and 22 minutes of play.

The prize money at the Paris Masters is 3,748,925 euros.
