Sobotka: Serbia has greatly contributed to regional relations

PRAGUE/BELGRADE - Serbia has greatly contributed to improvement of regional relations, Czech PM Bohuslav Sobotka said during a meeting with Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic Wednesday, adding that the Czech Republic would always be on Serbia's side as regards opening new chapters in its EU accession talks.

Serbia sincerely wants to become a full EU member, which does not mean it wants to break off ties with other friendly countries, Nikolic said.

Serbia sees the turmoil in the EU and the challenges it is facing, but being a member of such an EU is still better than being outside it, the presidential press office quoted him as saying.

Serbia has a great business environment, he said, urging Czech companies to come to Serbia.
