Ahead of murder anniversary, police discover Molotov cocktail cache

Police officers discovered a suitcase containing 149 Molotov cocktails in the lobby of an apartment block located on Notara Street in Exarchia, central Athens, on Sunday.

The petrol bombs were confiscated and taken to a police crime lab for further examination.

Police in the capital remain on alert as Tuesday marks the eighth anniversary of the murder of 15-year-old Alexis Grigoropoulos by a policeman in Exarchia on December 6, 2008.
