Visiting German foreign minister to hold talks with Greek PM, opposition leader

Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras was expected to meet with German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier at 10 a.m. on Monday.

Steinmeier, who arrived in Athens on Sunday, was scheduled to meet with conservative opposition leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis at 13.15 p.m.

During a joint press conference with his Greek counterpart Nikos Kotzias on Sunday, Steinmeier criticized Turkey for its recent questioning of the 1923 Treaty of Lausanne, which set out the modern borders between Greece and Turkey.
