Serbia thwarted Kosovo's attempt to join Council of Europe

BELGRADE - Serbia has achieved an incredible success by thwarting Kosovo's back-door attempt to join the Council of Europe (CoE) but, unfortunately, the fight for our national interests does not end there, says Aleksandra Djurovic, who heads the Serbian delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE).

The standing delegation of the Serbian parliament has prevented the passage of a memorandum sponsored by UK, Denmark and Albania, envisioning seats for representatives of the Kosovo assembly in the PACE plenary hall in Strasbourg and allowing them to take part in discussions and put forward and sign proposed resolutions, Djurovic told Politika in an interview.
