Vucic: Dialogue, not conflict, is needed

ROME/BERLIN - Sending armed units to stop a Kosovska Mitrovica-bound train from Belgrade was an irresponsible move by Pristina, Serbian PM Aleksandar Vucic told the Italian daily La Repubblica, noting Belgrade and Pristina needed the EU-facilitated dialogue about the future, rather than a conflict at the heart of Europe.

"We want dialogue and cooperation. I was not kept up to date with the plan for the train's journey, but if sending units armed with machine guns is a reaction to a train, there is a risk of starting a fire that would be dangerous for entire Europe," Vucic said in an interview.
