Montenegro says Russia "waging special media war against us"

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro on Wednesday rejected as unfounded allegations of "Anti Russian hysteria" in Montenegro which was presented at the press conference by a spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova.

"There has been not a single case that any Russian businessmen or tourists experienced discomfort in Montenegro, nor is there is any kind of hostility in our country towards the Russian people. Thousands of Russian citizens can see this, who are staying in our country," said the response of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro.

In response, it is estimated that it is a "continuation of the special media war from Moscow" with "well-known motif of obstruction of Montenegro's accession to NATO".
