SETE to elect new chief at AGM

This year's annual general meeting of the Greek Tourism Confederation (SETE) holds special significance both for the industry and politically, taking place at what is a key juncture for tourism in Greece.

President Prokopis Pavlopoulos is set to attend SETE's open event on Thursday evening at the Athens Concert Hall, where Deputy Prime Minister Yiannis Dragasakis is scheduled to deliver a speech on the government's tourism policy.

New Democracy leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis will address the AGM on Thursday morning, when a new confederation chairman will also be elected. After six years at the helm Andreas Andreadis is stepping down, and Yiannis Retsos, current head of the hoteliers association, is expected to be elected to the post.
