Panic rises after hunting of dogs by 'mysterious creature' in village of Turkey's Bilecik

Anxiety has risen among villagers living in the western province of Bilecik after an "unidentified creature" started hunting their dogs, state-run Anadolu Agency has reported.

Mustafa Yılmaz, the village head of Dübekli, said at least 30 dogs in their village were killed by an unknown reason in one month.

"I have never experienced such an incident like this before. It killed three of my dogs too," he said.

He also stated that at first they thought the dogs were killed by a wolf or a hyena but they did not detect the creature yet.

"We thought that it would be a wolf but we ranch in this village, we breed animals. This 'creature' did not hurt any of the animals, just dogs. The whole village pours to the street at 5:00 a.m. every morning and rounds the village. Villagers are worried about this incident. We demand a solution to the incident from officials," he added.
