Kosovo will have support necessary to join Interpol "by September"
Kosovo Interior Minister Skender Hyseni believes that Kosovo will have the support necessary to join Interpol "by September."
However, he admitted this will represent "a huge challenge."
The public broadcaster in Kosovo, RTK, is reporting that Hyseni "already has a team working on Kosovo's membership in Interpol."
However, added the report, it is expected that "Russia, China, and African states" will block such an outcome.
Pristina will need two-thirds support at the Interpol General Assembly in order to join the organization.
Belgrade is opposed to this, and Pristina's previous attempts to become an Interpol member failed.
