Turkey condemns terror attack against Saudi Arabia

Turkey has condemned a terrorist attack in the Qatif region of Saudi Arabia carried out on July 31, reiterating its solidarity with the kingdom in the fight against terrorism. 

"We condemn the terrorist attack perpetrated in the Qatif Governorate of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia that caused death and injuries. We wish Allah's mercy upon the Saudi security officer who lost his life as a result of this attack and a speedy recovery to the wounded, express our condolences to the brotherly people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Saudi government and reiterate our solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the fight against terror," read a written statement issued by the Foreign Ministry.

It also condemned a thwarted missile attack that targeted Mecca over the weekend. "At the same time, we condemn the targeting of Mecca, one of the most sacred places for Muslims, by a ballistic missile launched by the Houthi militia in Yemen and welcome that the attack was thwarted by Saudi security forces," it said.
