McAllister: Germany to continue to lead W. Balkans to EU

BRUSSELS - Regardless of who forms the next government in Berlin, Germany will continue the policy of the Western Balkans' and Serbia's approximation to the EU, says European Parliament rapporteur for Serbia David McAllister, who also chairs the EP's Committee on Foreign Affairs.

After meeting with Serbian European Integration Minister Jadranka Joksimovic in Brussels on Tuesday, McAllister expressed confidence Angela Merkel would be handed another term as German chancellor, recalling her commitment to the Western Balkans and stability in the region.
