Sarcevic: Future of EU, region rests upon economic strength

BELGRADE - The existence of a Western Balkan platform for education and training is very significant for cooperation of countries in the region, for sharing experience and knowledge in education and research, as well as for our future EU accession, Serbian Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development Mladen Sarcevic said Thursday.

Opening a regional ministerial meeting on education, training, science and research - which marked the 30th anniversary of the EU's Erasmus programme - Sarcevic said the future of the EU and the countries in the region rested upon strong economies relying on knowledge and innovation.
