Catalan becomes new PACE rapporteur for Kosovo

Jordi Roca, a Catalan member of the Spanish delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), is the new rapporteur for Kosovo.

He will write the next report on the situation in Kosovo and Metohija about respect of human rights, the rule of law, and achieving the CoE standards, the Serbian National Assembly has announced.

Roca has been elected to the Political Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe in a secret ballot. Running against him was Mogens Jensen from Denmark.

According to the head of the Serbian delegation, Marija Obradovic, Roca was elected after the Serbian delegation managed to challenge the candidacy of Jensen - "who has repeatedly expressed his bias in the previous period, meeting the demands of the delegation of the parliament of Kosovo and Metohija, by which he indisputably brought himself into a...
