Snow covers northern Turkey

Mudurnu, a historic Ottoman-era town in the northern Turkish province of Bolu, is seen under snow on Dec. 8. Heavy snowfall affected daily life in many provinces across Turkey, as authorities warned of a storm in Istanbul starting from Dec. 9.
