Djokovic beats Monfils at Australian Open

MELBOURNE - Serbia's top-ranked male tennis player Novak Djokovic beat Frenchman Gael Monfils 4-6, 6-3, 6-1, 6-3 on Thursday to advance to the Australian Open third round.

He will next face Spaniard Albert Ramos Vinolas, who beat American Tim Smicek 6-4, 6-2, 7-6 (7-2).
