ForMin Melescanu, Hungarian counterpart discuss regional energy security - diversifying sources, supply routes

Foreign Minister Teodor Melescanu had a meeting on Monday with Hungary's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto within a working lunch and spoke with him about regional security and the relationship of the two neighboring countries.

The Romanian side "reiterated its commitment to the development of the bilateral relationship in the spirit of a real strategic partnership based on mutual respect between the two neighboring states, member of the European and Euro-Atlantic areas, as well as in accordance with the Strategic Partnership between the two countries," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informs in a press release for AGERPRES.

At the same time, the importance of the economic cooperation was emphasized, including in terms of bilateral sectoral cooperation on the basis of ongoing projects in areas such as energy and infrastructure.
