UPDATE/JusMin Toader: I will present report on Public Ministry, DIICOT and DNA activity before Parliament
Minister of Justice Tudorel Toader on Thursday stated that he will present the report regarding the activity of the Public Ministry, the Directorate for Investigating Organised Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT) and the National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA) next week before the joint chambers of Parliament.
"Besides the report that I will present next week in Parliament - on Thursday, more precisely, and I will also announce the exact hour in due time -, I will also hold a press conference to present the content and conclusions of the report regarding the activity of the DNA," Toader specified in a press statement held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Justice.
He also added that he discussed the matter with Prime Minister Viorica Dancila, who asked him to present the results of the evaluation.
"Today, before the Government meeting, I had a discussion with Mrs. Prime Minister regarding the evaluation of the activity of the Public Ministry, and she asked me to inform the public about the results of the evaluation, regardless of how they look like. According to the law, I will present the report on the activity of the Public Ministry, the Directorate for Investigating Organised Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT) and the National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA) before the joint chambers of Parliament. The presentation of the report in question represents one of the obligations of the Minister of Justice. This is stipulated in the article 79 of the law on judiciary organization," said Toader.
