Spain to grant Kosovo visas in Mediterranean Games?

The Spanish Olympic Committee has agreed to grant visas for members of the Kosovo delegation who will attend the Mediterranean Games Tarragona, after Spanish authorities initially tried to deny visas for Kosovars. Spain is one of the five EU countries which did not recognise Kosovo's independence.

Catalan broadcaster RAC1 reports that the Government of Spain has sent a letter to the International Olympic Committee (IOC), confirming that they will accept Kosovo athletes attend the Mediterranean Games which will be held southern Catalonia. So far, Spain has not yet confirmed whether it will issue visas for the participants in question or not, according to the Catalan broadcaster RAC1.
