Over 50 Injured in Sunday's Protest in Barcelona

More than 50 people, including eight policemen, were injured on Sunday night during protests because of the arrest of former Catalan leader Carles Puigdemont in Germany. Four people were arrested.

There were about 50,000 people in the demonstrations. Some of the demonstrators began to attack the police with bottles, eggs, metal objects and waste. The police responded with warning shots in the air. 

The protest procession passed from the Representation of the European Commission to the German consulate in Barcelona. On Monday, Puigdemont will be brought before a German court in the case for his extradition, requested by Spain.
