Earthquake Measuring 4.7 on the Richter Scale Shook the Greek Dodekanisos Seaways
An earthquake of magnitude 4.7 on the Richter scale was registered last night in the area of the Greek Dodekanisos Archipelago, which is located near the Turkish coast. The epicenter of the earthquake was between the islands of Astypalea and Amorgos, 260 km southwest of Athens.
There is no information about victims or material damage. The earthquake was also felt weak in the capital Athens. The director of the Seismic Institute, Gerasimos Hulirias, said the earthquake was probably an isolated case.
