Romanian Crown Custodian organises dinner party in honor of United Arab Emirates EduMin at Elisabeta Palace
Margareta, the Romanian Crown Custodian organised a dinner party on Friday at the Elisabeta Palace, in honor of Education Minister of the United Arab Emirates Hussain Ibrahim Al Hammadi, who is paying a visit to our country.
Prince Radu expressed his personal satisfaction and that of the Crown Custodian for the visit of the Emirates delegation two months after his Highness accompanied a large delegation of representatives of Romanian universities on a visit to the United Arab Emirates between 26 - 28 February.
The Prince highlighted the importance of developing ties between the two countries within educational exchanges in areas such as research, IT, advanced technologies, nuclear and optical physics, marketing, business, but also architecture and arts.
In his turn, Education Minister of the United Arab Emirates Hussain Ibrahim Al Hammadi expressed interest for developing relations in the education area between the two countries, with student and teacher exchanges ranking first.
According to President of the National Council of Romania's University Rectors Sorin Cimpeanu, following the visit of the delegation headed by the Minister of Education of the United Arab Emirates, the main areas of interest identified were: advanced technologies - business administration, but also arts - music and visual arts.
Attending the dinner party alongside the Romanian Crown Custodian were Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates Dr. Ahmed Abdulla SaeedBin Saeed Almatrooshi, Romanian Minister of Education Valentin Popa, President of the National Council of Rectors Sorin Cimpeanu, UNARTE Rector Catalin Balescu, Director General of the "Horia Hulubei" National Research and Development Institute for Physics and Nuclear Engineering acad. Nicolae Zamfir, Rector of the "Ion Mincu" Architecture and Urban Planning University Marian Moiceanu, Pro-rector of the Bucharest University of Economic Studies (ASE) Marius Profiroiu.
The delegation led by Minister Hussain Ibrahim Al Hammadi was made up of: Undersecretary of State for Higher Education Mohammed Al Mulla, Assistant Undersecretary of State for Higher Education Samer Al Samahi, Nuclear Engineering - Khalifa University Saeed Aqil Alameri and professor at Khalifa University Ahmed Al Shaibi. Also attending the event was First Secretary of the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates to Romania Khalifa Almazrouei.
According to the Royal House Press Office, Prince Radu represented Margareta, the Romanian Crown Custodian, on a visit to the United Arab Emirates between 26-28 February 2018. During the visit, Prince Radu met with Minister of Education of the Emirates Hussain Bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi, whom he discussed with about the connection that can be directly established between numerous Romanian universities and the most important universities of the United Arab Emirates.
