Meetings of Young European Cinema 2018

The fifth edition of the "Meetings of Young European Cinem" Film Festival will be held from 18 to 24 June at Odeon Cinema and Slaveykov Hall at the French Institute in Sofia. This year's edition features a number of programs: for the first time there will be feature films, free movies for students and their teachers, a program for children and parents, and the Forever Young program featuring Belgian film director Shantal Ackerman. In addition, the festival will offer two free events for professionals and film lovers: "Meeting of Perspectives: Joana Grudzinska, Lea Todorov and Elitsa Georgieva for the Use of Archives in Film Creativity", as well as an open lecture on "Music and Contemporary cinema "with composers Pierre Despte and Frank Williams.
