First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic on Monday held a bilateral meeting with Italian Foreign Minister Enzo Moavero Milanesi.

They met in Split, Croatia, on the sidelines of the Ministerial Meeting of the Central European Initiative.

The officials exchanged views on the bilateral relations and the process of Serbia's Eurointegration, the Serbian government said, quoting a MFA press release.

The quality of the existing political relations between the two countries has been confirmed, as well as a strong interest in their further improvement, including the continuation of the dynamics in the holding of joint sessions of the governments of the two countries, the statement said.

Dacic invited his Italian counterpart to visit Serbia as soon as possible.

The officials also "reiterated Italy's support for Serbia's integration into the EU."
