Romanian brand "Flori de ie" participates in Paris Fashion Week

Romanian brand "Flori de ie" [Flowers from the Romanian blouse] is set to participate in the Paris Fashion Week over September 28-October 1, which is the most prestigious fashion event in the world, the Romania ia [the Romanian traditional blouse] landing thus for the first time at the Paris Fashion Week, informs a release sent to AGERPRES.

"Flori de ie" will bring to the Paris Fashion Week 2018 podium the capsule collection "Fleurs de peche" (peacock flowers). The collection will be exhibited at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Paris, where there will take place the Showroom Beautiful event.

"I am deeply honored to be able to bring the Romanian blouse to the most prestigious fashion podium and show its beauty to the world. The centennial traditional costumes that will be presented at the Romanian Embassy in Paris and also the capsule collection "Fleurs de peche" are inspired from the Romanian traditional art and they will represent the contribution of "Flori de ie" to the substantial image of Romania that will be created at the Paris Fashion Week this year," said Cristina Chiriac, the initiator and heart of "Flori de ie," quoted in the release.

The concept starts from the traditional costume from Nasaudului region, with its main theme the peacock, recognized as a beauty symbol. With its precious textures and a colour palette in line with the international trends, the capsule collection "Fleurs de peche" surprises with creations dedicated to special events - red carpet, party, bridal and cocktail - and includes a series of dresses with painted peacocks and applied beads, vests and coats decorated with beads, all of them worked manually, reads the release.

As many as 500 hours of work were needed to realize this collection, which enjoyed the contribution of tens of craftsmen from all over the country, artists and tailors, who used precious materials, embroidered or hand painted, specifies the same source.

On September 26, the Romanian Embassy in Paris will host a Romanian fashion evening event at the Behague Palace, organised by the Romanian Federation for Design and Accessories, with the participation of "Flori de ie," designers Catalin Botezatu, Carmen Ormenisan, Alexandru Raicu and Laura Dinca.

In the opening of the fashion show there will be presented tens of centennial costumes, as well as pictures signed by the famous artist Alexandru Emanuel Zainea, in which actress Laura Cosoi will give life to 100 years of authentic fashion creation. These are part of the cultural project Centennial Romania, initiated by "Flori de ie," with the support of Brandusa Bordeianu and Adonis Enache.
