November annual inflation falls to 3.4pct in Romania
November 2018 annual inflation rate fell to 3.4pct, from 4.3pct in October, when prices for non-food goods advanced 4.24pct, food prices 2.86pct, while services posted a 2.5-pct advance, according to data released on Tuesday by the National Institute of Statistics (INS).
This year, the highest annual inflation rate was recorded in May, of 5.41pct, the highest level since February 2013, when the increase in consumer prices stood at 5.65pct.
"Consumer prices in November 2018 increased by 3.4pct over November 2017. The annual rate based on the Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) is 3.2pct.The average inflation rate in the last 12 months (December 2017 - November 2018) compared to the previous 12 months (December 2016 - November 2017), based on the CPI, is 4.6pct, based on the HICP, the average rate is 4.0pct."
Against October 2018, consumer prices fell by 0.13pct, with food prices going down 0.27pct, non-food prices 0.13pct, while services fees increased by 0.11pct.
