Greek planes to patrol North Macedonia sky - gratis
At a joint press conference with Prime Minister of North Macdonia Zoran Zaev, Tsipras said that this was envisaged in a document signed by defense ministers of the two neighboring countries.
Asked whether the Greece's control as a NATO member of the North Macedonia sky would be free of charge, Cipras said there would be no compensation for the service and stressed that the best compensation for Greece was the stability of the neighboring country and the region.
The defense ministers, he said, signed an agreement on cooperation in training, defense industry, cyber defense, cooperation between military intelligence and on the so-called aviation policy, which in essence means that Greek planes will patrol the sky over North Macedonia.
Zaev and Tsipras previously signed the Action Plan on Enhanced Comprehensive Cooperation in accordance with the Prespa Agreement, while the ministers of the two countries signed a number of agreements and memorandums of cooperation in various fields.
