Pride March Takes Over Croatian Capital

The Croatian capital of Zagreb held its 18th Pride March on Saturday at which LGBTQI+ people, families and supporters gathered in front of the Mimara Museum and staged a march across the city centre, ending in Ribnjak Park, where the "Le Zbor" choir held a concert.

"The protest within the Pride March invokes a common struggle for equality and the full civil and human rights of all the oppressed," the organizers said.

"The struggle for the acquired freedom and space we have today in Croatia we bravely and bloodily started in 2002 … Over these eighteen proud years, we have shown that we can only change reality together," they continued.

The march was supported by politicians and celebrities, and, like last year, attracted thousands of people.
