Bulgarians in Germany Are As Many As Population of Plovdiv, Our Expatriates in Britain Outnumber Residents of Burgas
This pie-chart made by economist Georgi Angelov shows how many Bulgarian expatriates live in Europe as of the beginning of January 2020. The most are in Germany - 342 000, and this is the size of the population of Plovdiv, 24 Hours daily comments.
Bulgarians in the UK are 259,000 which is 50,000 more than the population of Burgas. In Spain, our expatriates are 122,000 - the population of the entire Lovech region. And in Greece the number of Bulgarian migrants is 72 000, commensurate with the population of Blagoevgrad.
