Bulgaria: Members of 45 National Assembly Sworn in at First Parliamentary Session
The newly elected 45h National Assembly started its first session at 9:00 am on Thursday morning in Parliament's old building. The meeting is broadcast live on National TV and National Radio.
According to the Constitution, the new Parliament's first session is convened by order of President Rumen Radev and opened by the oldest attending Member of Parliament, which is Mika Zaykova of the There Is Such a People Party (TISP).
The MPs are sworn in during Parliament's first session. The National Anthem is played in plenary hall, as well as the Anthem of Europe. President Radev and Vice President Iliana Iotova also attend the first session. Radev will addresses the nation and Parliament.
Statements are expected from representatives of the political forces in Parliament, after which the new Parliament's Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson. The newly elected Chairperson will then take over the sitting and deliver a speech.
The MPs are expected to vote by raising their hand, since the electronic voting system has been installed in Parliament's new
